What we do:
The Late Bloomers are a non-profit organization that develops, promotes and produces artistic community driven projects and events. A creative collective, that endorses and supports the risks and wants of the people of Ypsilanti and Southeast Michigan. A way to advocate for what Ypsilanti is, cherish what we are, while continuing to reach for what we hope to see change. Champions of small steps, the late bloomers, understand that collaboration, patience, compassion, and equality are essential to the growth and blossoming of our community.

Latebloomers are...

• A bunch of people who have a bunch of ideas with no place to put them.
• People waiting for permission, but they don’t need or want it.
• Weirdos who are sick of just day dreaming.
• People that don’t take themselves too seriously.
• Risk takers, movers and shakers.
• Awkward artists that are ready to dust off their freak flag and let it fly.

You might be a latebloomer if...

• You’re not sure if your “special talents” are worth listing on a resume.
• You’ve never tried something before and you would if you had a safety net.
• It took you awhile to figure it out, and you still are.
• You have something, ANYTHING, to give.
• You want to challenge yourself by collaborating with not-so-like-minded people.
