Marisa Ellen Dluge
Queer performance artist, graphic designer, and specialist in nonprofit fundraising and communications: based in Southeast Michigan
My work is sweet, chaotic, and colorful. I’m an over-thinker and sometimes it’s fun. I am an enthusiastic listener and an expressive talker. My performance style is embodied by my own honesty, curiosity, and passion to explore the complexity of emotion. I aim to turn the audience’s attention to the visceral, mundane, vulnerable, and private aspects of our human experience. I probably think I can fix it. I’m an introvert, except when I’m not. I love catharsis and I give until it hurts. I’m not afraid of getting hurt. I am afraid of hurting others. I like to share, I like when you share, too. I think you are really awesome. I love my home. I love the cold, the water, and that the winter kills all the scary bugs. I want to center on developing creative confidence and identity-based exploration. I love when we show up for each other. I am here for you, I am here for me.
